Aric Trakhtenberg joined the firm as an Associate Director in 2018. He specializes in landlord and tenant representation and has arranged transactions on behalf of private investors, family estates and local developers, as well as institutional landlords throughout Manhattan and the Outer Boroughs. Aric joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF. As a tenant representative Aric has worked with national and local restaurateurs; food halls, urban apparel and lifestyle brands, technology firms, beauty salons, experiential theaters and specialty health/ medical corporations. He assisted the London urban apparel/skateboard shop PALACE, in securing its New York City Flagship at 307 Canal Street (aka 49 Howard Street); and arranged a lease on behalf of an Irish hospitality group for the 20,000-SF building at 701 West 135th Street in Harlem for a bar/restaurant/club. He also assisted Books of Wonder in securing its second store, which was the model for the children’s bookstore in “You’ve Got Mail”, at 217 West 84th Street on the Upper West Side. In Forest Hills, Queens, Aric assisted Tamashii Red in opening its third location at 7134 Austin Street and Antioch Grill for the corner of 70th Road on restaurant row on Austin Street, combining two stores to create the ideal space. In Sunset Park, Brooklyn, he arranged a lease for Japan Village, a Japanese restaurant/market/educational community space. In addition, in Flatbush he arranged leases on two high street commercial corridors – one for Dixie Eats BBQ at 1316 Avenue J and another for Foozo Artisinal at 2365 Nostrand Avenue, both restaurants from Miami. His landlord representation work includes reimagining 415- 417 Broadway, the historic art deco First National City Bank of New York building, by securing Mercato Fabrica, an Italian food hall/market/event space for the entire 27,415-SF building. In NoMad he secured a hospitality group from Belgium (GIT Grp) for the entire Second, Third and Fourth Floors at 28 East 23rd Street. In Korea Town he secured a 9,000 SF restaurant LOVE owned by Five Sense’s. Prior to joining RKF, Aric was with Eastern Consolidated for four years. Previously, he managed logistics for a Brooklyn electronics wholesaler selling through 13 high-performing Amazon accounts with fulfillment centers throughout the US. Mr. Trakhtenberg graduated with honors from Kingsborough Community College. He is currently studying Speech Communications at Brooklyn College. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
