Aric Trakhtenberg serves as an associate director with Newmark Knight Frank in New York City, where he specializes in landlord and tenant representation.
As a tenant representative, Aric secured real estate for national and local/ Michelin star restaurateurs; food halls, urban apparel brands, beauty salons, financial institutions and medical businesses. He assisted the London urban apparel/skateboard shop Palace in securing its New York City flagship at 49 Howard Street; Books of Wonder in securing its second store, which was the model for the children’s bookstore in “You’ve Got Mail”, at 217 West 84th Street on the Upper West Side, Federal Savings Bank for a space at 125 Maiden Ln in the Financial District, in Harlem he was a participant in procuring JF Hospitality Group LLC for their 19,168 SF Sports Bar at 701 West 135th Street and in Brooklyn he negotiated a 30,000 SF space with exposure to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway in Industry City for Japan Village; Sunrise Market, in Sunset Park, as well as two deals for a renowned kosher chef who’s the co- owner of Fuego By Mana in Miami FL – one for Dixie BBQ at 1316 Avenue J and another for BASH at 3003 Avenue J in Flatbush Brooklyn.
As an Exclusive Landlord Agent Aric is an advisor to real estate management companies, institutions, private investors, families and estates, as well as international and local developers with responsibilities for advisory services, transaction management, market and financial analysis and marketing strategies. Aric possess detailed knowledge of New York City’s commercial corridors and insights into retail trends. Aric is currently handling over 100,000 SF of large format retail, boutique and restaurant spaces throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. In recent transactions he brokered a boutique 6,846 SF hotel from Belgium at 38 East 23rd in Flatiron for SOLIL Management and in Midtown at 319 Fifth Avenue; he secured a 9,555 SF restaurant LOVE owned by Five Sense’s for a private family ownership.
Aric joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF RKF Holdings LLC.. He began at RKF as an associate director in 2018.Prior to joining RKF, Aric worked at Eastern Consolidated for four years. He previously managed logistics for an ecommerce electronics wholesaler, selling through 13 high-performing Amazon accounts with fulfillment centers throughout the U.S.
Aric is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
Aric graduated with Phi- Theta- Kappa honors in Liberal Arts from Kingsborough Community College. He is currently studying speech communications at Brooklyn College.
