Gary Meese is a Managing Director in the firm’s New York office. He specializes in investment opportunities primarily in the greater New York City area as well as select urban markets around the US. He has been directly involved in arranging approximately 100 investment sales transactions representing an aggregate transaction value in excess of $2 billion.
Gary joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF. He began his career with RKF in 2018.
Gary has 15 years of experience in New York City commercial real estate, including transaction management, advisory services, financial and market analysis, due diligence, business development. He has specialized interests in development, asset repositioning, zoning, assemblages, transferrable development rights and GIS.
Prior to joining RKF, Gary spent seven years with the former New York brokerage firm Eastern Consolidated. Previously, he was a commercial broker and investment advisor to private investor and developer clients with interests in in the mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Northern California regions. He also was an Acquisitions and Development Associate at RFR Holding LLC where he was involved in the financial analysis, market research, and due diligence of Class A office, retail, hotel and residential property acquisitions and development projects in Manhattan, South Florida and Europe valued in excess of $2.5 billion.
Gary attended New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate where he earned a Master of Science Degree in Real Estate, Finance and Investment. He completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography focusing on urban and regional planning and GIS. Gary is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York.
