Michael Paster is a Director with the firm specializing in both landlord and tenant representation. He joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2019, when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF. Michael began his career with RKF in 2013 as a canvasser and has quickly climbed the ranks to become a director.
Michael represents many prominent landlords, including United American Land, Pan Am Equities, The Georgetown Company, The Winter Organization, Hubb NYC Properties, George Comfort & Sons, Normandy Real Estate Partners, Angelo Gordon & Co., Centaur Properties, Hidrock Properties and Madison Realty Capital. In addition, Michael has negotiated numerous deals with SL Green, Tishman Speyer, Savitt Partners, Joseph P. Day and other prominent Landlord’s across New York City.
Michael works with many well-known tenants in the New York City market, some of which include Pret a Manger, ‘wichcraft, Coco-Mat, Sabon, &pizza, GNC, Cha Cha Matcha, La Colombe and NOVA Fitness.
Michael has successfully negotiated more than 20 leases on behalf of Pret a Manger, including new leases in Manhattan at Penn Station, 400 Park Avenue South, 1071 Avenue of the Americas, 787 Seventh Avenue, 530 Seventh Avenue, 299 Seventh Avenue; a new lease at Woodbury Commons in Harriman, NY; and a 15-year renewal at 60 Broad Street. He has also worked to secure &pizza’s first two New York City locations.
On behalf of landlords, he leased 2,600 square feet to FedEx Office at 189 Eighth Avenue, 6,486 square feet to David Chang-backed Maple food concept at 119 West 31st Street, 3,902 square feet to Hand Hospitality at 118 Madison Avenue, and more recently leased 5,680 square feet to Maison Kayser at 575 Lexington Avenue. Michael is currently focused on leasing 15,271 square feet at 700 Sixth Avenue on behalf of Pan Am Equities, 16,506 square feet at 770 Third Avenue on behalf of Madison Realty Capital.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with a concentration in Corporate Strategy from Vanderbilt University. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
